Yes the price is correct and yes this is a USB controller much like the controllers bundled with expensive Flight Simulators and yes the images tab does contain images which are all taken from the simulator shipped with this controller.

So what’s the catch? – None, as always you pay for what you get and whilst this doesn’t have the photo realistic graphics and almost infinite features of say Reflex XTR or Phoenix it does provide the basic tools required to master basic flight of r/c helicopters and or planes.

The controller is simple and built to a reasonable standard (given the price) and the simulator is FMS which is a free simulator (Freeware) that can be downloaded from the FMS website. The FMS sim is included on a CD in this package but chances are by the time it reaches you a newer version will be available for you to download.

Who would benefit from this product? – Anybody that is new to flying and would either like to get a feel for it prior to buying a helicopter or someone who is about to buy one and would like to practice on a budget.

Let’s be clear, this is a budget method of practicing your flying skills and as such should not be considered in the same league as the market leaders such as Reflex XTR or Phoenix.

What ever you may think if you buy this product I’m sure you will agree its fantastic value for money.

Please be aware that because FMS is freeware it’s not as technically rounded and tested as mainstream consumer products. That said it has a minimal overhead on hardware unlike the commercial products and we have had it working on various PC’s running either Windows 2000 or XP. FMS seems to be constantly developed and improved.

There are loads of plugins for FMS such as additional aircraft and scenery etc developed in the main by the user community. Technical support is available by way of various forums.

You may have to spend a little time setting the controller up but for the money it really is a great system.

Basic USB Controller, but with a little tinkering is compatable with AeroFly! Works well for me!

I'm currently using this with Clearview flightsim and it works exactly as you'd expect, would've been nice to have an idle up switch but for the price I can't complain.
