Special Product Blade_CX2_1.jpg

If your new to the hobby and a little confused by Mode 2 or Mode 1 options above then to give you an idea we sell around 50 Mode 2 to every Mode 1. Mode 2 is by far the most common in the UK and Mode 1 is more common in America.

We are delighted to be able to offer the Blade CX2 as part of our product range. The manufacturer E-flight have long since been regarded as the most prestigious model aeroplane manufacturer and now they have made leaps towards similar status within the model helicopter arena.

The new E-flite Blade CX2 takes all of the beginner-friendly flight stability qualities of the original E-flite Blade CX, and combines it with the fantastic new Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM radio control system, allowing you to fly anywhere, anytime without ever having to worry about interference. It’s the first ready-to-fly RC helicopter of any kind to come with this contemporary, state-of-the-art 2.4Ghz technology.

The E-flite Blade CX2 comes as a complete ready to fly package and includes a Li-Po battery pack, and a dedicated Li-Po charger that can be used either as a 240 volt DC mains charger for use at home, or as a 12volt Li-Po charger for use at the flying site. In addition, the four in one Electronic control system has been updated with improved gyro and tail control that gives the Blade CX2 improved tail response while minimising drift. About the only thing you might want to consider buying in additional to the kit would be an additional battery and a training under-carriage.

The contra rotating main blades make the E-flte Blade CX2 very easy to fly, as they cancel out the normal torque reaction encountered in single blade helicopters, allowing the pilot to concentrate on the flying and not on countering the side yaw as the throttle is opened or closed.

The two pre-installed feather-light S60 super sub-micro servos provide powerful and precise cyclic control. To compliment this easy to fly helicopter it comes with an aggressive pre-painted, light-weight body design that looks fantastic in flight and is unlike anything else out there, and if that is not enough for you, E-flite offers a range of aluminium upgrade parts, and different pre-painted body shells, including a Police or Marine version.

The term counter rotating means the Helicopter has two sets of main rotor blades that spin in opposite directions.

The Blade CX2’s coaxial, counter-rotating blades cancel out the rotational torque that makes hovering a conventional heli so difficult for first-time pilots. They also make rudder turns much easier by simply slowing one blade or the other without sacrificing any of the inherent stability. This truly is a heli just about anyone can fly, right out of the box.

This kit even includes an instructional video CD that shows you how to trim and fly the Blade CX2.

Everything you need is included in this kit and it has been fully constructed and setup by the manufacturer. About the only thing you might want to consider buying in additional to the kit would be an additional battery and a training under-carriage.

There is lots of choice of counter-rotating Helicopters but in our opinion nothing that looks as good as this one.

The Blade CX2 is the only ready to fly Helicopter that comes complete with Spektrum 2.4Ghz radio technology. This means you will have no issues with interference or waste time waiting for other people to finish flying before you can have your go.

This kit represents fantastic value all round and as always we back the model with a full range of spares plus aluminium upgrades.

Top class product from E-flight

Mode 1 or Mode 2? This refers to which side on the controller your throttle will sit. Imagine your transmitter with two control sticks. The vast majority of people in the UK have the left hand control stick dedicated to throttle and rudder control. In the states it’s far more common to have these controls assigned to the right hand stick. Once you purchase either a mode 1 or mode 2 they can not be changed.

If you’re new to all this then we recommend you purchase a mode 2.

The Blade CX2 was out of its box and flying, in the office, in about 15 minutes. I only had to adjust the gain on the gyro. An excellent little heli, easy and fun to fly.

Really pleased with the CX2.If you are a first time hellcopter buyer. This is the one to get 10 out of 10.
I wish I had bought the Training Gear at the time of purchase this would have saved postage on the later purchase.Look at the Training gear as cheap crash insurance. Thanks Simply T-Rex for your follow up e mails while waiting for the new stock to arrive.

Have purchase so called “Ready to Fly” models in the past and had to spend ages adjusting them to get a half decent control response. The Blade is the first RTF I’ve bought that actually does fly straight out the box. Excellent control response and looks brilliant in the air or on the ground for that matter. Transmitter is good quality and even has an lcd display and no chance of interference as its 2.4 GHz. Build quality is excellent all round would recommend to anyone looking for an RTF either for fun or even as an alternative to a flight simulator.

Just got hold of the new Blade CX2 and haven’t stopped laughing since. It’s great fun flying it round the living room and friends always insist on a quick demo when they see it lying around. I’ve flown mine outside with no issues at all so don’t believe anyone who says its indoor only.
