Align RCE-BL35G 35A ESC
If your in the unfortunate position of having to replace your existing ESC then we would recommend you only consider buying this the new 35 Amp version from Align.

So firstly ESC stands for Electric Speed Controller. Why do we need one? Because if you didn’t have the ability to control the speed of the power from the battery to the motor and other electronics on your Heli then you wouldn’t have a heli for long…… it would most likely be in orbit about now.
The speed controller not only provides your receiver and servo’s with the correct operating voltage but also controls the speed of the motor and therefore the speed of your rotor blades.
The speed controller either reduces or increases the amount of power to your motor based on the control inputs you give as a pilot through your transmitter.
Why is there a 35Amp and a 25Amp not mention countless other Amp ratings? As motors and batteries become more powerful and as flying styles such as extreme acrobatics or 3D flying demands power increases, speed controllers need to handle more power or Amps.
This all comes down to physics so you may remember calculations in your old physics classrooms such as:-
Watts = volts x Amps
The higher the wattage of the motor the more Amps it will require and ultimately more power will be available.
Please don’t make the mistake of thinking I will upgrade my existing 25Amp ESC to a 35Amp ESC and I will get more power. You won’t, you will however be able to purchase a more powerful battery and motor which will give you a power increase. The amount of power available out the box on any of the T-Rex 450 Helicopters is more than enough for you novice – intermediate pilot.
Should you of damaged your existing ESC on your T-Rex 450 then we would recommend buying this one to replace it. It will work with the majority of motors but also offers some future proofing for bigger and badder motors and batteries……
