Night Flying
Lime Green Cold Light String 1m - Align
During the colder months the amount of daylight hours available for outdoor flight seems almost constantly under threat. Light strings as seen here are designed to address this particular problem which they do so in a spectacular fashion.
By fitting the light string to your helicopter you can make it clearly visible in the darkest of conditions. The idea is to use the light string/strings to outline the shape of your helicopter. Once the light string is turned on you get a high viz view of your heli, add some night blades and the issue of daylight hours become an irrelevance.
In addition to the practical advantages of light strings it’s worth considering the visual feast created by night lighting. You could be forgiven for the uninitiated reporting sightings of UFO’s having witnessed a proficient pilot night flying. Helicopters fitted with night flying kit look simply amazing and a joy to behold.
• Decoration for rc models making it possible to fly at night
• Cool lights producing zero heat
• Flexible and bendable
• Easy to cut and connect
• Impact proof and easy to install
• No electromagnetic wave
• Available with DC5~12V driver or AC110V

This section of website is reserved for newcomers and designed to cut through the mountains of technical complications and considerations. As far as this particular product goes we feel it’s pretty straight forward really.
When you fly model helicopters you generally strive for perfect conditions to fly in. You want as little wind as possible, obviously do not want rain, snow etc but one of the biggest show stoppers is day light.
By outlining your helicopter with light strings (which are essentially thin bendy strip lights) you can illuminate your helicopter sufficiently to fly it in the dark. We won’t go in to detail here because if you’re a novice then night flying isn’t something we would recommend full stop.
For information purposes the light string connects to a device called a driver which in turn connects to a battery. Other common night flying products are night blades which are rotor blades with L.E.D lights installed in them.
Whilst we do not recommend novice pilots to attempt night flying (in fact we advise against it) we would encourage anybody to go and see it done by an experienced pilot if at all possible. Helicopters flown at night with night lights look awesome and will no doubt provide you with encouragement to get more involved with rc helicopters.
